Originally from Germany he was raised in Southern Portugal. Growing up around some of Europe's best waves, he quickly emerged to one of Europe's hottest junior surfers and clinched the European junior title in 2004. A fierce competitor who already had some major WQS results the last seasons. Certainly one of the most powerful surfers on the tour especially this year the contest machine should turn on again since he fully recovered from his shoulder injury.
